About-Faculty

Local campus faculty is made up of pastors, organizational leaders, and local teachers. These are seasoned leaders who have a teaching, mentoring gift. The teachers are selected and solicited by the local campus dean and fill out an application with Purpose Institute. They are given special access to the website that is reserved for instructors. Teachers may teach a single course, or be a guest lecturer for a single session, or be part of the ongoing staff throughout the education of the students in a particular campus. Teachers prepare material beyond the students notes, grade homework, test students, and post their grades at the end of the semester based on their performance. Local instructors are paid a nominal honorarium from local campus funds to offset their expenses but their role is one of passion and they serve primarily as volunteers.

Another local faculty role is that of the Administrator. This person is vital to the success of the local campus. They are trained by the Purpose Institute Global Staff and maintain accountability to the Global Administrator. Their role is to give oversight to the details of the students’ function and success and that of the dean and instructors. This person will watch over the campus funds, ensure that records are current, that attendance is posted, that grades are posted in a timely manner, and that the campus is operating according to global standards. Their work is critical to a smooth running campus. They have the benefit of discounted tuition for their role in the campus.
